Ayurveda & Wellness Retreat

A 7-Night Journey to Rejuvenation

Welcome to your personal journey of holistic healing, curated by Nanda Tours. This retreat is more than a holiday; it’s an opportunity to reset and reconnect with yourself under the guidance of expert Ayurvedic doctors and therapists. We have carefully selected a path along Sri Lanka’s tranquil south-west coast, where the healing power of the ocean complements the ancient science of Ayurveda. Your journey begins with a full consultation to determine your unique body type (Dosha), which forms the basis of your personalized treatment plan, diet, and wellness activities. From the dedicated wellness resorts of Wadduwa to the gentle vibes of Hikkaduwa and the historic calm of Galle, every detail is designed to guide you towards a state of deep relaxation and rejuvenation.

Itinerary

  • You will be warmly greeted at the Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) by your Nanda Tours driver-guide.
  • We will transfer you to your chosen Ayurvedic resort in the peaceful coastal town of Wadduwa (approx. 1.5-2-hour drive).
  • After settling in, you will have your first, crucial Ayurvedic consultation with the resident doctor. They will assess your Dosha (body constitution) and discuss your wellness goals.
  • Based on this, you will be given your personalized treatment schedule and a brief introduction to the Sattvic diet you will be enjoying.
  • Overnight: Wadduwa.

  • These three days are dedicated to your core wellness program. Each day will follow a gentle, restorative routine designed to maximize the benefits of your treatments.
  • Morning: Begin with a rejuvenating Hatha Yoga session followed by a healthy Ayurvedic breakfast.
  • Late Morning: Your daily Ayurvedic treatment (approx. 60-90 minutes), which could include a full-body oil massage (Abhyanga), herbal steam bath (Swedana), or a specialized therapy as prescribed by your doctor.
  • Afternoon: Enjoy a nourishing lunch, followed by time for rest and reflection. You can relax by the pool, read a book, or take a gentle walk on the beach.
  • Evening: The day concludes with a guided meditation session and a light, cleansing dinner.
  • Overnight: Wadduwa.

  • After your final morning yoga session and treatment in Wadduwa, we will take a short, scenic drive to Hikkaduwa (approx. 1 hour).
  • Check into your wellness-focused hotel. The pace here is slightly more relaxed, allowing you to integrate the benefits of your intensive start.
  • In the afternoon, enjoy a gentle stroll along Hikkaduwa beach or visit the Hikkaduwa Turtle Hatchery to learn about local conservation efforts.
  • Overnight: Hikkaduwa.

  • Start your day with yoga by the sea, followed by a healthy breakfast.
  • Today is about finding balance. You can choose to have a lighter Ayurvedic treatment (like a facial or head massage) or simply enjoy the freedom of the day.
  • Optional activities include taking a glass-bottom boat ride over the coral reef, browsing the local shops, or simply relaxing in a beachside café with a book.
  • Overnight: Hikkaduwa.

  • After a final morning yoga session, we drive to the historic city of Galle (approx. 30-45 mins).
  • Check into your charming hotel, likely located within or near the Galle Fort.
  • In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walking tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Galle Fort. This is a gentle, cultural activity that stimulates the mind and soul, providing a perfect, mindful conclusion to your retreat.
  • Overnight: Galle.

  • Enjoy a final leisurely breakfast and perhaps one last quiet moment of reflection.
  • At the appropriate time, your driver-guide will transfer you to the Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) for your departure flight (approx. 2-2.5-hour drive), feeling recharged, balanced, and carrying the tranquility of Sri Lanka with you.
  • End of Tour.
