Your journey begins in the convenient, laid-back town of Negombo before moving to the water sports haven of Bentota. We’ll then take you to the hip, beautiful beaches of Mirissa and Unawatuna, before a final touch of history in the magnificent Galle Fort. With private transport, comfortable beachside accommodation, and plenty of free time, this is your holiday to enjoy at your own pace.

Itinerary
- You will be warmly greeted at the Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) by your Nanda Tours driver-guide.
- We’ll take a short transfer to your hotel in the nearby coastal town of Negombo (approx. 20-30 mins).
- After checking in, the day is yours to unwind. Stroll along the golden sand, take a dip in the pool, or watch the local fishing boats on the horizon. A perfect, gentle start to your holiday.
- Overnight: Negombo.
- After a leisurely breakfast, we’ll drive down the coast to Bentota (approx. 2-2.5-hour drive).
- In the afternoon, we’ll embark on a fascinating Madu Ganga River Safari. This boat trip takes you through a complex coastal ecosystem of mangroves and small islands. You’ll visit a cinnamon island, see a traditional fish farm, and maybe even get a fish foot massage!
- The rest of the evening is at your leisure to enjoy your hotel’s facilities or the Bentota beach.
- Overnight: Bentota.
- Today is all about you and the beach. There are no planned activities, giving you the freedom to do as much or as little as you wish.
- You could try some optional water sports like jet-skiing or windsurfing, visit the beautiful Brief Garden (a unique landscape garden), or simply find a shady spot under a palm tree with a good book.
- Overnight: Bentota.
- Enjoy a final morning in Bentota before we continue our scenic drive down the coast to the famous beach town of Mirissa (approx. 2-2.5-hour drive).
- After checking into your hotel, you can immediately feel the relaxed, bohemian vibe. Spend the afternoon on Mirissa’s stunning crescent-shaped beach, perhaps finding a spot at a beachfront café to watch the sunset.
- Overnight: Mirissa.
- Today is flexible for you to explore the local gems.
- You can choose to spend the day relaxing in Mirissa, perhaps taking a short tuk-tuk ride up to Parrot Rock for panoramic views.
- Alternatively, we can take a short drive to the nearby Unawatuna, a beautiful, sheltered bay perfect for swimming and snorkeling. You can also explore the Japanese Peace Pagoda, which offers stunning views over the bay.
- Overnight: Mirissa.
- After breakfast, we’ll visit the magnificent Galle Fort (approx. 30-45 min drive from Mirissa). Your guide will take you on a walking tour of this UNESCO World Heritage site, exploring its Dutch-era churches, the lighthouse, and the charming streets filled with boutiques and art galleries.
- In the afternoon, we will drive back up the coast to Negombo (approx. 3-3.5-hour drive) for your final night. This ensures a stress-free journey to the airport on your departure day.
- Overnight: Negombo.
- Enjoy a final Sri Lankan breakfast and one last dip in the ocean or pool.
- At the appropriate time, your driver-guide will transfer you to the nearby Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) for your departure flight, feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

- Can I swap one beach location for another? Of course! This itinerary is a template. We can easily adjust it. For example, you could spend more time in Unawatuna instead of Mirissa, or visit the quieter Talalla beach. Just let us know your preference.
